New Year
Sitting down today to begin book II in The Habitant series. Interested in spending time with Bernadette and Patty and wondering how the summer semester will affect Sarah and Adam's romance. I'm going to let the characters take me where they choose to go.
Inspiring writers
My Latin teacher in high school is one of my favorite writers. Yes, she taught me Latin and eventually became a full-time writer and winner of a Hugo award. C. J. Cherryh, author of the Foreigner series, writes enthralling science fiction and inspires me. When you grow up knowing someone in everyday circumstances, you realize that everyday people can create extraordinary stories. If you are a Sci Fi buff, read her work, you will be inspired too.

“Habitants” of Bizzell Library
There are all kinds of inhabitants in an old building, particularly a building that resonates with books written by thousands of people, some long gone...or are they? Here is one of the regular inhabitants of that library.
Secret Writing
There’s an exhibition about Galileo going on at the University of Oklahoma Libraries right now. There’s a part of the exhibition that talks about the secret code used by members of the Academy of the Lynx. Check it out at galileo.ou.edu. The Habitant takes place at the libraries and Galileo plays a role in the adventure shared by Sarah, Adam, Stanley and Lubna.
