One of my favorite characters to write surprised me. Stanley, a Native American college student, with shaman family roots, started out odd, but became a person I wanted to know better. When Stanley says, “My purpose is to make the situation open for alignment but not to direct or interpret. It’s too easy for me to put my own spin on things, unconsciously.
